Dear parent/guardian,
PARENT'S LETTER
Compliments of the season from Solid Rock International College, Lafia. We are grateful for your contribution towards the success of all our programs this term. The school vacated for her First Term of 2012/2013 academic session on 8th December, 2012 and will resume on 12th January, 2013 before 4pm. Note that, there will be no clearance (resumption) on Sunday 13th January, 2013. All students are expected to resume on the day of resumption as     LATE COMERS will be punished including a fine of N500 per day spent after resumption. As we continue to trail towards a successful future for our wards, kindly take note of the following:

CLEARANCE DURING RESUMPTION
Clearance during resumption is to be done by parents alongside the students. A student can only be cleared when he/she fulfils the following conditions:
a. School fee paid with receipt or bank teller to prove.
b. Complete boarding materials:
1. Spoon, cup, fork and plates (set of cutleries)
2. Black shoes, white & black sucks, set of class wears, jean trousers (jean skirts for females) and polo, compound wears, etc.
Note that without the complete set of the aforementioned items which must be well-labeled, your child will not be cleared.

EXAMINATION
The second term commencement examination will commence on Monday 15th January 2013. The examination time table is herewith attached, also students are encouraged to visit our website for more information. 

POCKET ALLOWANCE
As every student in SRIC is expected to maintain a minimum account of N1,500 as their pocket money with the account section, the management felt it necessary to relate to parents the analysis of their wards’ accounts. It is in the light of this that we gave their POCKET ALLOWANCE CARDS to your wards so as to bring to your fore his/her financial transactions.
Note that if your ward’s account is less than N1,500, your are to get it updated to the tone of N1,500 at least. This would enable them repair their personal belongings, barb their hair, purchase toiletries and take care of other necessities. Please note, that no student would be allowed to keep cash of any amount. Any student caught with cash will be punished.

PARENTS’ TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA) MEETING
The PTA meeting comes up as follows:
Date: Sunday 3rd March, 2013.
Time: 12:00 noon
Venue: School Premises.
All parents are expected to be in attendance please.



VISITING DAY & VISITING CARD
The school’s visiting day remains the first Sunday of every month. Any reschedule in date would be communicated to the parents. Kindly note that visitors to students may not be attended to even on visiting days without the visiting card. In case you have misplaced your visiting card, please contact the school to get a new one. For those who are not having our new visiting card, you are enjoined to get your copy please.



LABELING OF STUDENTS’ BELONGINGS
We sincerely advised that, all items belonging to students including wears should be labeled as the school may not allow any unlabeled item(s) belonging to a student into the school and such student(s) may not also be cleared. For all wears, at least, one of the child’s names should be written in full. For example, Shuaib Eze Fatokun can be written as Shuaib E. F.



SCHOOL FEE AND LEVIES
The total school fees for second term is fifty seven thousand five hundred and fifty naira (N57,550) only.  All students are expected to pay their school fee in full on or before the resumption day-( Saturday 12th January, 2013), through our First Bank Account:

FROM THE ACADEMIC OFFICE
We hereby remind parents to check and update their wards check academic material(s) before resumption.

TAKE HOME ASSIGNMENT
In our usual efforts to keep our students active both in school and at home in their academic pursue; assignments in different subjects are given to your ward(s) to engage them while enjoying their break.
Parents are religiously enjoined to give the requisite support and guide to their wards in carrying out their assignments; as students who fail to complete their assignments would not be cleared on resumption.

EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS: WAEC, NECO, NABTEB AND NECO JSSCE
Parents who have children in Grade 12 and have not paid the required fee for WAEC registration are hereby informed that, their wards remained unregistered. Parents are equally informed that the cost of NECO SSCE registration is N18,000.00 per candidate payable in Skye Bank Account as stated above. Details for NABTEB and NECO JSSCE registration are being awaited and shall be sent to you in due course.

OTHER INFORMATION
Grade 12 students are required to purchase Biology practical Notebook for use as they resume in the second term. The note book is available in most bookshops. Parents wishing to send their wards for further studies abroad and need the school assistance should contact the principal in person. This is particular to Grade 12 parents.
